Want to ask your visitors a simple question before showing them an optin form? A Yes \/ No campaign is the perfect way to do it! Yes \/ No  campaigns are a fantastic way to grab your visitor’s attention and can really help increase your conversions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this article, you\u2019ll learn how to create and manage a Yes \/ No campaign in OptinMonster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before you start<\/em><\/strong>, please note that progressive forms require the Multiple Views feature<\/a>, which is available with a Plus or higher subscription<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating a Yes \/ No Campaign<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The easiest way to get started is by picking one of our templates, as many of them come with a Yes \/ No view already set up for you. Here’s how to create your campaign from a template:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. First , from your OptinMonster dashboard, find and select the Create New Campaign<\/strong> button.

  2. Next, a popup will appear. Go ahead and choose Templates<\/strong>.

  3. At this point, you can pick the Campaign Type you want to use, like a Popup<\/strong>.

  4. After that, feel free to browse and select a template that fits your style. Once you’ve found one you like, click on Use Template<\/strong> to select it.

  5. Now, give your new campaign a name so you can easily find it later and select which website do you want to show it.

  6. Then, click the Start Building<\/strong> button to jump into the campaign builder.

  7. Upon landing in the Design view,  you’ll see the bottom toolbar with view tabs. Then, click on the Yes \/ No<\/strong> tab to see and edit your Yes \/ No view.

  8. Here, this is where you can edit your campaign\u2019s text, fields, and other elements. For more details on the builder’s layout and settings in the Design view, check out our Builder Overview guide<\/a>.

  9. Now, let’s take a look at what we have so far! The Yes<\/strong> button is all set up and ready to go by default! It’s already configured to take visitors to your Optin form. If you’re curious, here’s how it works:
    1. To begin with, click on the Yes<\/strong> button in the campaign builder to open its settings in the left sidebar.
    \"Clicking<\/figure>2.  Then, in the left sidebar, you’ll see the Button Click Action<\/a><\/strong> is automatically set to Go to a view<\/strong>.
    \"Button<\/figure>3. Right below that, the Go to View<\/strong> dropdown is set to the Optin<\/strong> view. This is how the campaign shows the Optin view after someone clicks Yes<\/strong> button.
    \"Go<\/figure>4. If you’d rather show a different view when someone clicks Yes<\/strong> button, you can click this dropdown and choose another view from the list.

  10. The No<\/strong> button lets visitors opt out of your offer. By default, it’s set up to simply close the campaign.
    1. Now, click on the No<\/strong> button in the builder to see its settings.
    \"Clicking<\/figure>2. In the left sidebar, you’ll see its Button Click<\/strong> Action<\/strong><\/a> is set to Close the campaign<\/strong>. We recommend keeping this setting. It gives your visitors a simple way to close the campaign if they are not interested.
    \"No<\/figure>3. If you want a different action, you can click the dropdown and choose another option, like redirecting them to a new URL.

  11. When you’re happy with your changes, remember  to click the Save<\/strong> button in the top right corner.

    Deleting a Yes \/ No View<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    If you decide you don’t need the Yes \/ No view anymore, you can easily remove it from your campaign. Just follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. To start, click on the Design<\/strong> view of your campaign and look for the Yes \/ No<\/strong> tab in the bottom toolbar.

    2. Next, Click on the three dots<\/strong> that appear on the Yes \/ No<\/strong> tab.

    3. From the small menu that pops up, select Delete<\/strong>.

    4. At this point, a confirmation box will ask if you’re sure. Click Yes<\/strong> to permanently delete the view.

    5. Finally, remember to Save<\/strong> your campaign to apply the change.

      Warning<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If this view is used in a Display Rules<\/a>, we\u2019ll automatically replace it with the next available view. It\u2019s always a good idea to double-check your Display Rules after deleting a view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Adding a Yes \/ No View<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Did you start with a campaign that didn’t have a Yes \/ No view, or did you delete one and want it back? No problem! You can add a Yes \/ No view to any campaign at any time by using Multiple Views feature.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. First, click on the Design<\/strong> view if you are not on this view.

      2. Next, click the + Add View<\/strong> button in the bottom toolbar.

      3. A window will pop up asking for a name. Type Yes \/ No<\/strong> into the field. (You can give it any name you want, like Initial View, but Yes\/No is nice and clear!)

      4. After that, click the Create View<\/strong> button.

      5. This creates a new, blank view. You can either build it from scratch or import an existing design to speed things up.

        To build from scratch:<\/strong>
        1. First, just click the + icon <\/strong>to start.
        \"Clicking<\/figure>2. Next, you can select a column style. Click on any of them to apply it.
        \"Selecting<\/figure>3. After selecting columns, click on home icon to see block elements.<\/a>
        \"Accessing<\/figure>4. Then, drag and drop any block into where you want it to appear.
        \"Dragging<\/figure>5. For this example, let’s add a Text Block<\/a>.
        \"A<\/figure>6. Simply drag it into the campaign. After that, you can edit the text however you’d like.
        \"Editing<\/figure>To import a design:<\/strong>
        1. You can click either the Import from Optin View<\/strong> or Import from Success View<\/strong> button.
        \"Options<\/figure>* Please note that the button names may vary if you\u2019ve created additional views in your campaign. They\u2019ll reflect the names of those specific views instead.
        2. For this example, let’s click Import from Optin View<\/strong>.
        \"Choosing<\/figure>3. Once you do that, the design from your optin view will be copied right over.
        \"The<\/figure>4. You’ll likely want to remove any elements you don’t need, like the Optin Fields Block<\/a>. To do that, hover over the element and click on the trash <\/strong>icon to delete it.
        \"Deleting<\/figure>*Since we imported the design from the Optin view, all of its blocks and styling were copied over. If you import from the Success view or any other view instead, the block elements may be different.<\/em>
        Once you make any adjustments and your basic layout is ready, it’s time to add the Yes\/No block.<\/span>

      6. From left sidebar, find the Yes\/No block<\/strong> and drag and drop it into your view.

        <\/p>\n\n\n\nIf blocks are unavailable in the sidebar panel, be sure you’re viewing the home panel in the sidebar. You can return to the home panel at any time by selecting the home icon.

        1. You’ll now see the Yes\/No block appear in your campaign design.

        2. Now, click on the Yes<\/strong> button you just added to open its settings in the left sidebar.

        3. Under the Content section, you can change the Button Text<\/strong>. For example, you could type Yes, I want this!<\/strong>.

        4. By default, the Button Click Action<\/a><\/strong> is set to Go to a view<\/strong>, but you’ll see that the specific view selection is empty.

        5. To fix this, click the Go to View<\/strong> dropdown and select the view you want to show when the Yes button is clicked (usually the Optin view).

        6. Next, click on the No<\/strong> button. By default, its action is set to Close the campaign<\/strong>. As we mentioned, this is usually the recommended setting, but feel free to change it.

        7. Required<\/strong>: Now for a very important step! You need to tell OptinMonster to show this new view to your visitors first. Navigate to the Display Rules<\/a> view.

        8. Next click on Edit<\/strong> button to make change in Display Rules<\/a>.

        9. Find the Show the<\/strong> dropdown, and from the list, select your new Yes \/ No<\/strong> view.

          Can I create a Yes \/ No campaign that doesn’t collect any information?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

          Yes, absolutely! You can set up your Yes and No buttons to do other things, like redirecting to a new page, reloading the current page, or just closing the campaign. You can edit these options by clicking on each button and changing its Action settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          How do I find the GA Block ID for my Yes \/ No buttons?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

          Each button in the Yes \/ No view has its own unique ID for Google Analytics tracking. To find it, just click on the button you want to check. In the left sidebar, scroll all the way to the bottom, and you’ll see the GA Block ID listed there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
