Let&#8217;s take a look at both to see how he did it.<\/p>\n<h3>How Podcast Insights Uses Onsite Retargeting<\/h3>\n<p>One of the most popular pages at PodcastInsights.com is this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.podcastinsights.com\/podcast-starter-kit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Podcast Starter Kit<\/a> article. It offers readers information about the equipment needed to get started podcasting. Ross created a downloadable guide with the same information presented in the article, only the guide sorts the options by budget. That&#8217;s very helpful for a new podcaster who might feel overwhelmed at the many options for equipment and the cost differences between brands.<\/p>\n<p>Ross used <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/features\/monsterlinks\/\">MonsterLinks<\/a> to present the offer within the content of the article. MonsterLinks turn any image, button or link into a <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/how-wholesale-suite-gains-6500-leads-a-year-using-two-step-optins\/\">2-step optin campaign<\/a>. When a visitor clicks on the MonsterLink, a popup appears showing an optin.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-114406\" src=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/PodcastInsights.gif\" alt=\"Podcast Insights uses a MonsterLink to deliver a lead magnet\" width=\"799\" height=\"386\" \/><\/p>\n<p>MonsterLinks work because when people initiate an action (like by clicking a button), they\u2019re more likely to finish it.<\/p>\n<p>But what if someone reads the article without clicking one of the calls-to-action? Ross left nothing to chance, launching the same lightbox optin as the reader attempts to leave the website.<\/p>\n<p>He did this using our <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/40-exit-popup-hacks-that-will-grow-your-subscribers-and-revenue\/\">Exit-Intent Technology<\/a>. It monitors your visitor&#8217;s every action on your site, displaying your targeted campaign at the exact moment they&#8217;re about to leave for good.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Onsite Retargeting with Multiple Rulesets<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ross launched the same optin with two different triggers by utilizing multiple <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/docs\/how-to-add-rename-or-delete-a-ruleset\/\">Rulesets<\/a> within the optin&#8217;s Display Rules. Using multiple rulesets allow you to target different readers with the same offer, without having to create separate optins for every unique trigger. He configured the optin NOT to display on the pages above. The offers on those pages are specific to the content and should naturally convert better than a more general, site-wide offer.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the site-wide optin directs readers to a list of Black Friday deals. Our Yes\/No feature allows you to turn any optin into a <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/2-step-optins\/\">2-step optin<\/a>, displaying a Yes button, and a No button. Both the Yes and No buttons can open an optin, redirect to another URL or simply close the optin.
