In this case study, we&#8217;ll learn how ClickBank used OptinMonster to recover <strong>32.67%<\/strong> of abandoning visitors, increasing sales of ClickBank University over 100%.<\/p>\n<h3>Meet ClickBank<\/h3>\n<p>As one of the largest online retailers, <a href=\"http:\/\/clickbank.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ClickBank<\/a> harnesses the awesome power of their digital marketing partners combined with a vast library of over 6 million unique products to reach 200 million customers around the world. Justin Atlan from ClickBank University talked with us about how they&#8217;re using OptinMonster to explode sales of ClickBank University.<\/p>\n<p>Their goals were to redirect abandoning traffic on their most heavily trafficked pages to their sales pages. Most people leave the site because they aren&#8217;t clear about the first steps to take when getting started using ClickBank. To combat this, ClickBank created <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clickbank.com\/university\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ClickBank University<\/a>\u00a0to help their clients learn the platform and how to succeed with it.<\/p>\n<h3>How ClickBank Uses OptinMonster<\/h3>\n<p>ClickBank uses OptinMonster&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/features\/exit-intent\/\">exit-intent technology<\/a> to redirect new visitors to ClickBank University.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-119390\" src=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/clickbank_exit_home.png\" alt=\"ClickBank recovers abandoning visitors with an exit-intent optin\" width=\"800\" height=\"490\" srcset=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/clickbank_exit_home.png 1023w, https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/clickbank_exit_home-300x184.png 300w, https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/clickbank_exit_home-768x471.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Optins using exit-intent only display when the visitor&#8217;s mouse motions towards the browser bar, a sure sign they&#8217;re about to leave the site. Abandoning visitors can often be returned to the site with an enticing offer that speaks to the reasons they were leaving in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>ClickBank wasn&#8217;t the first OptinMonster customer to increase sales using an exit-intent optin. <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wild-water-adventures-case-study\/\">Wild Water Adventures <strong>increased sales $61,000<\/strong> using an exit-intent optin<\/a> that simply asked, &#8220;Would you like help planning your trip&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>ClickBank&#8217;s offer is similar. It acknowledges that the new visitor might be a little confused about exactly how to get started, and offers them help.<\/p>\n<p>They also used our <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/features\/yes-no-forms\/\">Yes\/No feature<\/a> to drive clicks. Our Yes\/No feature replaces the traditional optin form with one or two buttons. Each button can either close the optin, launch an optin form, or redirect to another URL.\u00a0ClickBank uses a single button to redirect visitors to the University sales page.<\/p>\n<p>The optin converts a whopping\u00a0<strong>32.67% of new visitors<\/strong>. Using OptinMonster has added several thousand extra visitors per week to the University sales pages.<\/p>\n<p>They didn&#8217;t have the same results to start with, though. At first, they created an optin using <em><strong>both<\/strong><\/em> the Yes and No buttons. It wasn&#8217;t until ClickBank decided to <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/features\/easy-ab-split-testing\/\">split-test<\/a> it against the single-button version above that they arrived at 32.67% conversions.<\/p>\n<p>Justin had this piece of advice for other OptinMonster customers,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Test! Then, tackle that problem head-on using an exit-intent optin. Be sure to split-test your optins.
