A <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/9-lead-magnets-to-increase-subscribers\/\">lead magnet<\/a> is anything of value offered in exchange for an email address. Common examples include ebooks, courses, coupons, and free trials.<\/p>\n<p>Brittany said, \u201cThanks to OptinMonster, we\u2019ve been able to direct blog readers to the campaign they\u2019d be most likely to resonate with.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>They do this using our powerful <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/features\/page-level-targeting\/\">page-level targeting<\/a> which allows you to choose specific pages on your website where each campaign should display.<\/p>\n<p>For example, for visitors reading articles in the <a href=\"https:\/\/getflywheel.com\/layout\/category\/inspiration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Design Inspiration<\/a> category, Flywheel shows a campaign offering an email course on design trends. When the visitor clicks, &#8220;Sign Me Up&#8221; in the lightbox optin, they are directed to the Design Trends course landing page.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-125443\" src=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/OM_Flywheel_DesignTrends.gif\" alt=\"A OptinMonster campaign on the Flywheel blog targeted to appear only the design trends category\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/features\/lightbox-popups\/\">lightbox campaign<\/a> displays after the visitor has been on the site at least three seconds and <strong>converts almost 1.5% of visitors<\/strong> reading articles in the Design Inspiration category. On some pages within the category, it converts <strong>as high as 4.8%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If the reader is viewing an article in the <a href=\"https:\/\/getflywheel.com\/layout\/category\/business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Business<\/a> category, they might see an optin that promotes an ebook about making more money, like the one below.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-125444\" src=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/OM_Flywheel_Business.png\" alt=\"A OptinMonster campaign on the Flywheel blog targeted to appear only the business category\" width=\"800\" height=\"475\" srcset=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/OM_Flywheel_Business.png 800w, https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/OM_Flywheel_Business-300x178.png 300w, https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/OM_Flywheel_Business-768x456.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This lightbox campaign also appears after the reader has been on the page for at least three seconds. When the visitor clicks the &#8220;Get started!&#8221; button, they are redirected to the landing page for an email course about increasing freelance revenue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.7% of visitors click the yes button in this campaign<\/strong>, driving huge amounts of traffic to the email course.<\/p>\n<p>Flywheel has done a great job of targeting specific lead magnets like this to the content on their site. However, they didn\u2019t just magically know that this email course would convert well when shown in the Business category. In fact, they didn\u2019t start out with this offer at all.<\/p>\n<p>What they started out with was the campaign below:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-125445\" src=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/OM_Flywheel_Business_SplitTest.png\" alt=\"A OptinMonster split test campaign on the Flywheel blog targeted to appear only the business category\" width=\"800\" height=\"794\" srcset=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/OM_Flywheel_Business_SplitTest.png 800w, https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/OM_Flywheel_Business_SplitTest-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/OM_Flywheel_Business_SplitTest-300x298.png 300w, https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/OM_Flywheel_Business_SplitTest-768x762.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This campaign <strong>converted 3.74%<\/strong> of visitors.<\/p>\n<p>A solid result, for sure, but after using OptinMonster\u2019s built-in <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/features\/easy-ab-split-testing\/\">split-testing<\/a>, they found the offer for the email course converted even better.<\/p>\n<p>OptinMonster&#8217;s A\/B Testing lets you split test your campaigns so you know what\u2019s working for your customers.
