OptinMonster helps them maximize their content\u2019s lead capture capabilities.<\/p>\n<h3>How Singularity Increases Event Registrations<\/h3>\n<p>When Singularity was preparing to launch their flagship event, <a href=\"https:\/\/su.org\/summits\/su-global-summit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Singularity University Global Summit<\/a>, they knew they needed a way to engage their community members who would not be able to attend in person.<\/p>\n<p>A live stream was the perfect solution! They want to see a portion of it first or try it out, to see if it\u2019s a good fit for them.<\/p>\n<p>A simple <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/features\/slide-in-forms\/\">slide-in optin<\/a> on Singularity\u2019s online course page promises to share a sneak peek of a course in exchange for an email address.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-129267\" style=\"border: 1px solid #ccc;\" src=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/SU-Slidein_demo.png\" alt=\"Singularity University drives course registration with a slide-in campaign.\" width=\"800\" height=\"430\" srcset=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/SU-Slidein_demo.png 800w, https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/SU-Slidein_demo-300x161.png 300w, https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/SU-Slidein_demo-768x413.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These email addresses are then dropped into a <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/mid-funnel-marketing-tactics\/\">nurture campaign<\/a>, which helps them deliver additional value and track users through the funnel.<\/p>\n<p>This slide in campaign <strong>converted 10% of visitors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Increasing Pageviews Using Button Redirects<\/h3>\n<p>One of Singularity&#8217;s earliest campaigns was pretty simple but very powerful. It wasn&#8217;t even designed to capture an email. Instead, they encouraged readers who were close to finishing one article to read another when they were done.<\/p>\n<p>Using a scroll trigger, the campaign below appeared when the visitor had read 80% of an article. This is a great method for increasing pageviews and average time on site.<\/p>\n<h3>Advice from Singularity on Tracking Leads with OptinMonster<\/h3>\n<p>When asked if they had any tips for OptinMonster users, Singularity responded with this valuable advice:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We have a very diverse lead capture program built out, and follow a strict campaign naming convention so that it\u2019s easier to follow along in <a href=\"https:\/\/optinmonster.com\/docs\/how-to-view-optinmonster-reports-on-google-analytics\/\">Google Analytics\u2019 (GA) Events<\/a> section.<\/p>\n<p>Our naming convention for the title of each optin is \u201cOptin Type &#8211; Initiative.\u201d Since these optin titles populate as the Event title in GA, we find it easiest to sort campaigns by optin type and simply compare performance. While the names might seem complicated at first glance, keeping the naming convention consistent makes sorting inside GA much easier.<\/p>\n<p>GA Tip: When using the above naming convention and search for \u201coptin\u201d in GA Events, you can easily filter by optin type, campaign, date range, etc.<\/p>\n<p>We also use UTMs to track which optins are increasing conversions. It\u2019s easy to measure this using GA, so we know if our Slide-In optin version A or our Mobile optin version B is getting more users to submit an application. Once we know which is more effective, we adjust our practices.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>Results<\/h3>\n<p>Singularity experimented with well-designed, well-placed campaigns and saw great results.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Singularity University <strong>registered 25% of location-targeted visitors<\/strong> for an event.<\/li>\n<li>Singularity University <strong>generated 967 new leads<\/strong> from a single optin.<\/li>\n<li>Singularity University <strong>kept 20% of visitors onsite<\/strong> longer using a redirect button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Summary<\/h3>\n<p>Singularity University\u2019s success using OptinMonster is the result of a thoughtful understanding of their readers\u2019 needs.
